Victor O'Neill Studios will be here 2 Sep (Tue) for school pictures. Pictures will be ready in late September. (Students with P.E. may wear tennis shoes. Girls should wear shorts under their skirts.) Below are a link to order and a POC for questions.

If you want to volunteer at STM or interact with students (e.g., helping in the lunchroom, working in classrooms, attending field trips) you MUST be Fully Compliant. The first step is to create an account at the Diocese's Office for the Protection of Children/Young People (OPCYP) (see link below). OPCYP will then email you a link to create a VIRTUS account and register for VIRTUS training, which must be completed within 45 days. (Because the process is more than just VIRTUS, we no longer use the phrase "VIRTUS Compliant".)

Old Dominion Pizza will donate 20% of the proceeds to our school. Come get good pizza and hangout with STM families. Woodstock Park (2049 N. Woodstock St, Arlington, VA 22207) and playground is only 2 blocks away and has picnic tables, if you want to coordinate with other families.

STM is seeking an Instructional Assistant (IA) to assist 1st grade teachers for the 2025-2026 school year.  This is an hourly, full-time (40 hours) position, 7:30am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri.  The IA will support and assist teachers in classroom preparation, execution of daily lessons, and classroom management.  Duties include working with students in small groups, supervising students, and monitoring outside recess.  Ideal candidates would be practicing Catholics with a devotion for education and working with children.  Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to STM Principal Ann LaBarge via email at [email protected]

Registration is open for D.C. Music Academy's (DCMA) year-long program for 2nd - 8th graders for: Viola, Cello, Bass, Violin, and Guitar. DCMA is a great option for all students, but especially 2nd and 3rd Graders with STM's award-winning band not starting until 4th grade. A link to register, tentative dates, a flyer, POC, and an article discussing the correlation between music and grades are below.

Registration is open for Player Sports Academy's (PSA) after school enrichment programs for: Soccer (Mon), Tennis (Tue), and Fitness & Movement (Fri). Classes run 15 Sep - 31 Oct from 3:20pm - 4:20pm. Students may be picked-up at 4:20 or checked-into Extended Day. Soccer and Fitness classes are for K - 5th graders; Tennis is for 1st - 5th. The Race for Education 2025 (RFE25) is STM's primary fundraiser and enhances the educational and physical environments for our students. This year, we are fundraising for a new playground! Our Goal: $65,000. Click the links below to learn about RFE, see the family checklist, and visit the Pledgestar portal to launch your family's page. Parents who want their 2nd - 8th Graders to have the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and receive teacher guidance on homework can sign up for Homework Hour: 3:20pm - 4:20pm Mon-Thr for $20 per session.
