					<description><![CDATA[Bishop Burbidge invites all Middle Schoolers to BASH 2026 on April 25 (Sat) at Bishop O'Connell from 3:30pm - 8:30pm.  Over 1,300 middle schoolers are expected to enjoy a day of: gaga ball tournaments, free throw contests, middle school-size bounce houses, rock climbing, pizza, ice cream, Illusionist Giancarlo Bernini, Keynote Speaker Rachel Leininger, and Vigil Mass (completes Sunday obligation) celebrated by the Bishop.  STM families only have to pay $10 per youth and will meet at STM at 2:30pm and return at 9pm.  Fully Compliant (VIRTUS + background check) parent volunteers are needed as drivers and chaperones. 					<description><![CDATA[With April being the Month of the Military Child, parents who are serving or served and are fully-compliant (i.e., Background Check + VIRTUS Training) are encouraged to come in and brief a class or two about their path to the military, career, & lessons learned.  STM will provide a 5-slide brief for you to populate with pictures and child-centric topics, which should allow for a 10-minute brief and 10 minutes for Q&A. 					<description><![CDATA[The Cathedral is hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) June 22-26 (Mon-Fri) 9am - 12pm for rising 1st - 6th graders.  This year's theme is "Rainforest Falls" where campers learn the nature of God by exploring Bible stories, get hands-on with crafts & experiments, and make friends during all kinds of activities.  Cost, prior to Apr 30 (Thr), is only $80 and includes 5 days of camp activities, a daily snack, and a t-shirt. 					<description><![CDATA[Join hundreds from across the Diocese for a day of faith and fun in the sun on July 29th (Wed) at Kings Dominion!  We will begin the day with Bishop Burbidge conducting 9am Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Fredericksburg.  After Mass, we will head to Kings Dominion and be ready to go when the gates open at 11am.  This event is open to anyone in the Diocese.  Tickets are $40 (a reduced rate) and also include Soak City. (directly across the Potomac from Fredericksburg) is accepting registration for families with 6 to 15-year-olds. 					<description><![CDATA[Damascus, a Catholic Apostolate, which focuses on bringing youth (rising 6th - 12th graders) into an encounter with Jesus, during week-long summer camps, is opening a new location: Summit Lake in Emmitsburg, MD (60 miles north of STM just south of Gettysburg).  Cost is $645, which is less than most week-long summer camps.  Although a new location, Damascus has a history of conducting high-adventure camps (e.g,. paintball, rappelling, archery tag, capture the flag, tree-top rope climb) along with Mass and Adoration in Michigan and Ohio.
