Uniform
Students at St. Thomas More Cathedral School in grades K-8 are required to wear a daily uniform. The dress code provides a standard for our students, which fosters an environment conducive to learning and respectful behavior. Final decisions regarding the school uniform rest with the Principal.
- Students in Pre-K do not wear a uniform. Please choose comfortable play clothes and closed toe shoes for your child to run, play, and climb during their school day.
- Kindergarten students wear a red polo shirt and navy bottoms, as specified in the handbook. Apparel can be purchased at any retailer. Popular choices include French Toast, Land's End, Target and Children's Place.

P.E. Uniform
Students have P.E. once a week; children in grades 1-8 are required to wear a P.E. uniform on those days. Students wear it the entire day rather than changing for class. The P.E. uniform items must be purchased online from Lands End by using the school code: 900077975 or searching for St. Thomas More Cathedral School in Arlington, VA.
* Pre-K and Kindergarten students are not required to wear P.E. uniforms.
* Don’t wait until late August to order because shipping typically takes 3-4 weeks.
Used Uniform Sale
In late August, and at different points during the school year, a used uniform sale is held in the school cafeteria. This is a great opportunity to purchase pieces that your child(ren) might need as they enter a new season or have outgrown their current clothes.
* Kindergarten uniforms are not collected and, therefore, not sold at Used Uniform Sales.
2023-2024 UNIFORM GUIDANCE
Uniform items may be purchased from Flynn O’Hara or Robcyns.
Kindergarten items may be purchased from any retailer and should display no logo.
PE Uniforms may be purchased from Lands End, grades 1-8.
1 Skirt and Skort lengths should be no more than 1” above the knee.
2 No logo, ankles must be covered.
3 Plain white short-sleeve undershirts may be worn underneath shirts.
4 White or skin-toned undergarments.
5 Pants are to be worn at the waist and fit properly. Pants must reach the top of the shoe with a slight break.
The length of slacks must not extend below the heel of the shoe.
6 Bermuda shorts are to be worn at the waist, fit properly, no more than 1” above the knee, and may be worn from March 1 thru Nov 1.
7 All-black sneakers must be free of accent colors and have a black sole. Boots and booties are not permitted.
