Adults who were Baptized Catholic and received First Communion, but were not Confirmed, can be Confirmed in the Cathedral on 1 or 8 June, if they attend 4 Monday meetings on 28 Apr, 5 May, 12 May, and 19 May from 7pm - 8pm. A flyer with details and the POC are below.

The Cathedral is offering many ways to grow spirituality during Lent: free Friday hearty suppers in Burke Hall at 6pm starting 14 Mar, Confession (Tue: 7:30pm-8:30pm, Wed 6:30pm-8pm, Thr 6pm-7pm), Stations of the Cross (Fridays at 7pm), Fr. Maturi's led reflection on 8 Mar (Sat) after 9am Mass, 5-Week Lenten Formation Series, an event for women 40+ on 5 Apr (Sat), and a Choir performance 30 Mar (Sun) at 3:30pm. STM is hosting STEM and art summer camps (Mon-Fri): 7-11 July, 14-18 July, 21-25 July, 28 July-1 Aug, and 4-8 Aug with Club SciKidz and Doodles Dynamo. Links for registration and FAQs are below.

There is still time to sign up to volunteer for Vacation Bible School (VBS) the mornings of 23 - 27 Jun (Mon - Fri).  Rising 7th to 12th graders and fully-compliant adults (i.e., background check and then VIRTUS) are invited to volunteer as camp staff.  Volunteers will participate in planning meetings leading up to VBS. Our next volunteer meeting is 24 Mar (Mon) 7pm - 8pm in the Art Room (Room 4). Volunteers may enter at Door 2 (near the library).

Camp St. Charles, a Catholic-based summer camp founded in 1952, in Newburg, MD - 50 miles southeast of D.C. (directly across the Potomac from Fredericksburg) is hosting open houses on 9 Mar (Sun) and 13 Apr (Sun) from 11am-3pm for families with 1st-8th graders. The camp is on a peninsula on the Potomac, has horse-riding, has canoes, etc. There are flyers in STM's cafeteria, if you would like your child to bring one home. Mark your calendars! Our 8th grade will perform Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" play on 15 May (Thr) at Bishop Ireton High School. Auditions and rehearsals start in February.
