Welcome to Mrs.Hoffman's First Grade!

My name is Mrs. Nora Hoffman. My husband and I currently live in Arlington. I grew up in Vienna, VA, and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel and Saint Paul VI Catholic High School. For college, I attended Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg,
Pic1
MD and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Elementary Education.

I've spent many summers teaching 6-12-year-olds at a STEM Enrichment Camp in Reston, VA, babysitting, and tutoring. This past summer I spent a few weeks working at St. Charles at their summer camp.

This is my sixth year teaching S.T.M. but my first year in 1st grade. I previously taught 3rd grade. Teaching is my number one passion in life and helping all of my students reach their full potential is my top priority. It is very important to me that all of my students feel successful, safe, and loved every single day! It brings me so much joy to see the student's faces light up during an engaging lesson.

In my spare time, I enjoy working out, spending time with my family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and stepping outside of my comfort zone...I went sky diving last summer!!

Cows are my favorite animals so naturally, one of my favorite things to do is feed baby cows at a dairy farm in MD.
