STM Sick Policy

If you keep your child home sick (not due to covid), follow this policy:

If a student is kept home because of illness (not injury, but any illness symptom), they need a note from a health care provider OR a negative HOME test to return to school. If they are lab tested for Covid, they cannot come to school or school functions while the results are pending.

 If a child is sent home from school, follow this policy:

For the 2022-2023 school year, St. Thomas More students who are dismissed for symptoms of illness (not injury), must meet the following criteria to return to school:

Must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications;

AND

Must be vomiting free for 24 hours without the use of anti-vomiting medications;

AND

EITHER a negative Covid-19 test final result (performed at home or by a lab; if it’s a lab tests you may not return until you have test results) OR a note from a licensed healthcare provider releasing the student to return to school.
