Students who missed Picture Day or did not like their photos, can get retakes on October 21 (Tue). (This was initially mistakenly annotated as a Thursday in the BLAST.) Students must return their original package to the photographer to receive a new one. If a student ordered a digital download, there is nothing to return – the picture will simply be replaced. Please join us in STM's parking area on October 24 (Fri) from 5pm - 7:30pm. Rocklands BBQ will be on site to provide tasty dinner. In addition to Trunk or Treat-ing, children can enjoy Balloon Artists, a Bounce House Obstacle Course, and a DJ - with music and dancing! There will be prizes for Best Decorated Trunk, Best Family Costumes, and Best Individual Costume! The link for Rocklands BBQ will be live October 23 (Thr) at 12pm. PTO will conduct its Fall Used Uniform Sale on October 31 (Fri) from 7:30am - 9am. Please consider signing-up to volunteer below. Come for used uniforms; stay for Mass!

PTO is hosting a screening of "Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age" on November 6 (Thr) at 6:30pm in Burke Hall (Cathedral's basement) for parents and teachers.  This Elementary School version of the documentary looks at the struggles parents are facing with social media, video games, internet addiction, and the impact of screen time on children’s development.  The film offers thoughtful insights from parenting experts, neuroscientists, and the students themselves, providing valuable strategies for navigating the digital world in a healthy way.  The screening will be followed by a discussion where families and faculty can share experiences and discuss strategies.

Mark your calendars for Breakfast with Santa on December 6 (Sat) from 9am-11am! Information about signing-up, crafts, donating to Toys for Tots, Pictures with Santa, breakfast, etc. will be forthcoming, but the link to volunteer is below. Parents who volunteer on Dec 6 (Sat) will get head-of-the-line privileges for Pictures with Santa! There are only 24 volunteer spots, so sign up soon.

Order St. Thomas More Cathedral's 2025 Christmas ornament at its gift shop "Gifts for All Seasons". This $25 one-of-a-kind ornament, which looks just like the Cathedral, was designed and made by Beacon Design Company, the company in Rhode Island which makes White House Christmas ornaments. Do not delay coming by Burke Hall (in the Cathedral's basement) and buying them, as quantities are limited.

To learn about Diocesan high schools, 6th - 8th grade families are encouraged to attend one of their open houses. Below are the dates, links to apply or shadow, etc.

3rd - 8th graders interested in playing Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) basketball for STM can register until October 24 (Fri). Practices start in mid-October and are once a week in STM's gym. The season is December - March with ~3 games a month. Cost is $75 (+$55 if you need a jersey). We need volunteer coaches - no experience needed. Link to register, additional info, and POC are below.
