Parent Accounts & Required Systems
Parents are required to have active accounts for the following STM systems:
- FACTS – Tuition, payments, and incidental charges
- PowerSchool – Student information and academic records
- Schoology – Classroom communication, assignments, and learning resources
- Membership Toolkit – PTO activities, volunteer opportunities, and volunteer hour tracking
- PickUp Patrol – Our new dismissal management system, allowing parents to submit dismissal changes while providing staff with real-time information to help ensure a safe, efficient, and streamlined dismissal process
Please ensure your accounts are set up and active to receive important school information and access essential resources throughout the school year.
FACTS
FACTS account which is an automated payment system which St. Thomas More Cathedral School uses to manage tuition payments and incidental billing. By using FACTS, you preauthorize your bank or credit card company to automatically transfer tuition funds to STM on the installment payment dates. Through FACTS, families can:
- Set up automatic tuition payments from a bank account or credit card.
- Pay incidental charges such as books, materials, lunch, Extended Day, field trips, PTO dues, and other school fees.
- Enroll in Auto-Pay for incidental expenses for added convenience.
- All families, returning and new, will receive an email from FACTS detailing all the information pertinent to you once the account has been finalized.

FACTS Account Support
Please note that St. Thomas More Cathedral School (STM) is unable to make changes to or provide technical support for FACTS accounts. For assistance with account management, password resets, billing questions, or other FACTS-related issues, please visit the FACTS support website or contact their Customer Support team directly at 866-441-4637.
PowerSchool Parent Portal
St. Thomas More Cathedral School uses PowerSchool, the Diocese of Arlington's secure, web-based Student Information System, to help families stay informed and connected throughout the school year. PowerSchool is an important communication tool that helps families stay connected and actively engaged in their child's educational journey at St. Thomas More Cathedral School. PowerSchool serves as the primary hub for family information and student academic progress, strengthening the partnership between parents, teachers, and school administration.
What You'll Use PowerSchool For:
Family Information (All Grades)
- Maintain and update your family's contact information.
- Ensure the school has current phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, and demographic information.
- Receive important school communications and notifications.
- This creates a better partnership and dialogue between your family and the faculty that work with your child.
- Parents of students in Grades 4–8 can monitor their child's academic progress throughout the school year by viewing assignments & grades.
- Students in Grades 4–8 also receive their own login credentials to encourage organization, responsibility, and ownership of their academic progress.
- Rather than waiting for report cards, PowerSchool allows families to stay engaged and support their child's learning every step of the way.

Accessing Your Parent Portal:
Returning Families: Log in using your existing PowerSchool Parent Portal username and password.
New Families:
- Access codes are distributed in early August.
- Once you receive your access code, select the My STM link at the top right-hand corner of your screen.
- Use the access code provided by the school office to create a Parent Portal account.

Schoology
St. Thomas More Cathedral School uses Schoology as its secure online Learning Management System (LMS), providing a central location for students, parents, and teachers to stay connected and organized throughout the school year.
Schoology serves as the digital hub for classroom learning and school communication. Teachers use the platform to share course materials, post assignments, provide resources, communicate with students and families, and keep everyone informed of important classroom updates. Students can access assignments, submit work electronically when required, participate in class discussions, and review feedback from their teachers.
Parents are encouraged to create a Schoology Parent Account to stay engaged in their child's education. Through Schoology, parents can monitor coursework, view upcoming assignments and due dates, receive classroom announcements, and access important school information.
In addition to classroom resources, STM also uses Schoology to share the school's secure calendar, ensuring that important dates, events, and announcements are available exclusively to our school community.
Schoology helps foster strong communication between home and school while providing a secure, organized environment that supports student success.
Membership Toolkit Platform
The PTO uses the Membership Toolkit platform to manage volunteer opportunities and track family participation. Parents can log in to view available volunteer opportunities, sign up for service commitments, and record their completed volunteer hours directly through the system.

PickUp Patrol Dismissal Management System
This is our new dismissal management system starting in the Fall of 2026. This system is allowing parents to submit dismissal changes while providing staff with real-time information to help ensure a safe, efficient, and streamlined dismissal process.
STM has partnered with PickUp Patrol to help better manage our dismissal process. PickUp Patrol provides a layer of safety by authorizing and automatically tracking student dismissal plans, while still giving you the flexibility you need to make changes to your children’s plans.
The application reduces interruptions, speeds up dismissal time, and is administered by our own staff. Most importantly, it will help us ensure that our students are safely dismissed to their correct after-school destinations.

Information on how to set up the parent account and how to use this new system will be sent directly to parents. All changes to the students arrival and/or dismissal process will have to be done directly on the PickUp Patrol system.

Ordering Lunch
- Create a free My Hot Lunchbox account.
- Add a profile for each student.
- Place, edit, or cancel orders by 12:00 p.m. (noon) the day before delivery.
- The My Hot Lunchbox app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
My Hot Lunchbox FAQs
How do I view the lunch menu?
After creating your free My Hot Lunchbox account, log in and select your student's profile. Use the Lunch Calendar to view daily menu options, place orders, and see upcoming meal selections. You can also review pending and completed orders under the My Cart tab.
When is the ordering deadline?
Lunch orders can be added, changed, or canceled until 12:00 p.m. (noon) the day before delivery.
How do I place a lunch order?
- Log in to your My Hot Lunchbox account.
- Select your student's profile.
- Open the Lunch Calendar and choose the date you'd like to order.
- Select your meal(s) and click Add to Order.
- Continue ordering for additional dates or proceed to My Cart to complete checkout.
Helpful Tip: If your child orders the same lunch each week, use the Repeat option to automatically schedule recurring orders. You can also activate the Subscription feature to process recurring orders with weekly billing.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes! The My Hot Lunchbox app is available for both Apple App Store and Google Play, making it easy to order and manage lunches from your mobile device.

CYO Athletic Sports
The Catholic Youth Organization is a nonprofit agency of the Archdiocese of Washington that seeks to help young people find true happiness by coming to know and love Jesus Christ in His Church through participation in their Athletic, Scouting and Youth Ministry Programs.
Practices
Practices are typically held once per week at local facilities (usually the STM gym) beginning in early September and continuing throughout the season (depending on the sport early November or May). Practice schedules also vary by team and coach and from season to season.

FORMED
As part of our partnership with the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, all STM families receive free access to FORMED, a Catholic digital platform featuring videos, books, Bible studies, audio talks, and faith formation resources. This platform can be used by all of our parishioners, school families, and all those who live within our parish boundaries. As an online tool, you can access materials 24/7 using your home computer, a smart phone, or tablet.
