The Royal Gala Auction is only one month away (Feb 21) and ticket sales are open! Please visit the website below, if interested in admission or 50/50 raffle tickets or learn how you can support the auction. A few ways you can show your support: donate wine & spirits, donate an item to be auctioned, be a sponsor, host a sign up party, volunteer to help with the auction, or join the party! Any of these are great ways to help make the Royal Gala a success and raise money for our teachers! Ready to donate, host, sponsor, or volunteer? Thank you for your generous contributions to the Gift Card Drive. Reminder: those who participated in the Gift Card Drive earned an OUD on Jan 22 (Thr). Thank you for supporting this major STM fundraiser!

Registration is open for Player Sports Academy's (PSA) after school enrichment programs for: Basketball (Mon) for $155 (K - 5th grade). Classes run January 12th - March 9th. Students may be picked-up at 4:20pm or checked-into Extended Day. Registration ends Jan 23 (Fri). Table Tennis was cancelled.

STM's Open House for 2026-2027 is on January 25 (Sun) from 10am - 12pm. If you know families interested in STM, please forward this to them. Thank you. Additional info below.

This Catholic Schools Week (CSW), STM is excited to partner with Reading is Fundamental Northern Virginia (RIFNV) to collect new or gently used books (toddler - 6th grade). Books may be places in boxes and bins throughout STM starting next week. (Please no workbooks, sticker books, coloring books, or Young Adult [YA] books.) Your contribution will directly benefit nearby schools and programs such as Arlington Even Start Family Literacy, Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School, the Family Education Center, and the Swanson Middle School's High Intensity Language Training (HILT) Program. Together, we can Celebrate our Community by ensuring all children have access to the transformative power of books. Please see guidelines, POC, and links below.

5th Grade, which is learning about Charity as the virtue of the month, is collecting new hats, gloves, mittens, & scarves until January 30 (Fri). Please deposit them in the collection boxes near the Front Office. Thank you.

St. Thomas More Cathedral (STMC) is inviting STM families and friends to a wonderful, spaghetti dinner on January 31 (Sat) from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in Burke Hall. Dinner ($30 for a family or $10 for an individual) includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, and dessert. Children under 3 are free! Beer and wine ($5 each) and soda ($1 each) will also be for sale. Take the night off from cooking and come enjoy fellowship with other STM families! Please register by January 28 (Wed). Thank you to STMC's Women's Council for hosting.

Does your child have: "Improve Grades" as a New Years resolution? Mrs. Parente and Mr. Biehler are inviting 2nd - 8th graders to attend Homework Hour (Mon-Thr, 3:20pm - 4:20pm) for $20 a session. Sessions are designed to provide students an opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and receive guidance on homework.  (These are not tutoring sessions. Those may be arranged with other teachers.) Link to register, POCs, and additional info are below.

Join our Resource Team and guest speaker on February 19 (Thr) at 8am in the cafeteria with breakfast or at 7pm online. Parents will hear from Holly Keegan, who tutors many STM students, and explore facets of executive function - including: perseverance, failure, fixed & growth mindset, etc. Link to RSVP by Feb 16 (Mon) and POC are below.
