Meet Mr. Colin Thibault

Hello! My name is Colin Thibault, and I am excited to join the St. Thomas More Cathedral School community! I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to the East Coast to study Political Science at Gettysburg College, where I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2025.

While I was raised Catholic, I experienced a renewed commitment to my faith during my time at Gettysburg. After graduation, I felt called to spend a year serving as a volunteer missionary with the St. John Society in Washington, D.C., a Society of Apostolic Life dedicated to the New Evangelization. During my missionary year, I served primarily in Catholic Campus Ministry at American University, where I mentored students one-on-one and planned and led programs, retreats, and mission trips designed to call students to Christ, form them as disciples, and send them into the world as witnesses to Christ. I also had the opportunity to lead mission trips to New York and Belize.

Having completed my missionary year, I am excited to begin my journey in Catholic education. I believe the classroom should be an extension of both the home and the Church—a place where students can encounter God through study, prayer, friendship, and the pursuit of truth. I am especially excited to help my students grow in their relationships with Christ. I know firsthand how a personal relationship with Him can permeate every aspect of our lives, and I am honored to have the opportunity to share in the mission of St. Thomas More Cathedral School as a fourth-grade homeroom teacher.

My parents, Steve and Kathy, still live and work in California, while my older brother, Dominic, lives and works here in Washington, D.C. Outside of school and my faith, I enjoy reading, exercising, playing and watching sports, comedy, and spending time with friends.

I am looking forward to becoming part of the STM community, getting to know my students and their families, and sharing in a wonderful year of faith, learning, and growth together!
