Meet Mr. Provine

Hello! My name is Munro Provine, and I have been teaching at St. Thomas More Cathedral School since 2024! I grew up in Tampa, Florida, and moved from New York City to Northern Virginia in 2024. I am also the proud parent of Bop and Popcorn, my two flop-eared rabbits!

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University in 2024, where I studied and worked at the NYU Game Center. With a major in Game Design and a minor in Creative Writing, I spent much of my time at NYU creating independent games as a character artist, animator, and writer.

At STM, I have the joy of teaching all of our unique, imaginative, and talented students from Preschool through eighth grade. In art class, we explore famous historical and contemporary artists and artworks, artistic movements, art from different cultures, and a variety of artistic forms and techniques. Students have the opportunity to put what they learn into practice through creative projects while developing their technical skills and learning to think critically and intentionally about the art they create.

My goal is always to provide a positive and encouraging environment where students can experience the simple joy of self-expression through creativity. I love seeing their imaginations come to life, and I am so excited to share more of their beautiful artwork with the STM community this year!
