Meet Maria Schiavone

Hello! My name is Maria Schiavone, and I am so excited to continue my teaching journey at St. Thomas More Cathedral School! I began teaching at STM in 2025 and graduated that same year from The Catholic University of America with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am originally from Bel Air, Maryland, and am the youngest of four children.

I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a welcoming and faith-filled school community, where I get to do what I love most—work with children, watch them grow, and learn alongside them each day. I have always had a passion for working with children and am excited to continue creating meaningful experiences and wonderful memories with my students.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, exploring the outdoors, staying active, and giving back through service. I also love spending time at the beach, traveling, scrapbooking, and taking on fun DIY projects that allow me to be creative.

I am so excited for another wonderful year at STM and look forward to continuing to grow, learn, and serve alongside our students and school community!
