Meet Mr.Tom Parisi

Hi, I’m Tom Parisi, and I’m thrilled to have been teaching middle school math at St. Thomas More since 2024! I teach 6th grade math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra, and I also serve as a math specialist, working with small groups of students who benefit from additional support.

I live in Arlington with my wife, Julia, and our two daughters, Margo and Hayden. Originally from a small town in western Pennsylvania, I attended Duke University, where I earned a degree in Economics. After college, I worked at a Kaplan tutoring center before spending four rewarding years teaching middle school math and U.S. History at Alexandria Country Day School. I also coached soccer—until boosters bought out the remainder of my contract after we lost four straight championship games! 😊

I later joined EVERFI, an education technology company, where I supported teachers implementing online learning programs. I joined the company when it was still a small startup and helped grow its programs to reach 2.5 million students annually.

As a teacher, I strive to help every student enjoy school, develop a growth mindset, and reach their full potential. Most importantly, I hope that all of us—including myself—continue to grow spiritually as we work to become better, more compassionate versions of ourselves. I’m grateful to be part of the St. Thomas More community!
