Meet Marcela Mancia

I have been blessed to be at St. Thomas More Cathedral School since 2023, where I am proud to teach kindergarten. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from George Mason University and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Journalism at Marymount University, with hopes of continuing my graduate studies at Georgetown University.

My background in Communication, combined with my passion for working with children, allows me to bring creativity, patience, and strong communication skills into the classroom each day. I especially enjoy creating a warm and welcoming classroom environment where my students feel encouraged to be curious, confident, and compassionate.

One of my favorite parts of teaching kindergarten is watching students gain confidence as they discover something new for the very first time. Seeing their excitement and pride as they learn and grow is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching!

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, reading, painting, and writing. I am always looking for a new trail to explore, a good book to read, or a creative project to work on.

I am grateful to be part of the St. Thomas More community and look forward to another wonderful school year filled with learning, growing, and plenty of fun along the way!
