A Heart for Catholic Education

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from San José State University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership through the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame. I began my career in Catholic education in 2007, teaching primarily Middle School English Language Arts. Since 2018, I have been blessed to serve in the Diocese of Arlington, first as a teacher at St. Bernadette Catholic School and then as an administrator at the Basilica School of St. Mary. In 2024, I joined St. Thomas More Catholic School as an Assistant Principal, where I am honored to support students, families, faculty, and staff as we work together to help every child grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

 

My time at Notre Dame not only fanned the flame of school leadership but also deepened my appreciation for the unique mission of Catholic education. It reminded me why Catholic schools are such special places, where learning extends far beyond academics. I have found that the ministry of a Catholic school leader is beautifully complex, dynamic, and ever-changing. Each day brings the privilege of shaping the minds of young people while also embracing the grace-filled honor of nurturing their hearts and helping them grow in faith.

 

Outside of school, my husband serves as a Colonel in the United States Air Force, and together we have twin daughters, a black Labrador Retriever named Molly, and a home filled with laughter. I love reading, especially when I can recommend a great book to a student, and I have a passion for musical theater, whether I'm enjoying a performance from the audience or participating on stage. 

 

I am grateful to be part of the STM community and to share in the important work of Catholic education. It is a blessing to partner with our families as we help students grow into thoughtful learners, compassionate leaders, and faithful disciples of Christ. Each day, I look forward to encouraging our students to Pray MORE, Serve MORE, and Learn MORE as they become the people God has created them to be.
