Welcome to Mrs. Anderson's Resource Room!

I have been part of the STM community since 2003. I have more than 35 years of teacher experience in rural, urban and suburban schools and organizations.  I have a BA in Elementary Education from Goshen College (IN), an M.Ed. in Reading from Loyola University of Maryland, am a certified Reading Specialist and Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner.  
 
I am thrilled to partner with parents and students to support reading and writing growth.  In addition to reading, I have a passion for science and math.  I am privileged to be an STM Instructional coach and encourage teachers in their growth and professional learning.
 
In addition to STM, I am an instructor in Moreland University's TEACH-NOW Teacher Certification Program and enjoy engaging with new teachers worldwide.  
 
In my spare time, my husband (a 6th grade Fairfax County Public School teacher) and I love to cook together, explore local and state parks, and binge watch great shows!  I enjoy reading, photography, baking, walking, and quilting.
