New Families
Applications for new families can be found below:

- A $300 non-refundable New Family Application Fee (one per family) must be completed at: https://payit.nelnet.net/form/Ga4zDxx8 This is for processing purposes only and will not confirm your application unless all other documents are also received. Applications will not be considered until the fee has been paid.
- Original Birth Certificate or Passport.
- Baptismal Certificate, if applicable.
- Proof of Registration in a Catholic Parish, if applying for Catholic tuition rate.
- For students in grades 1st - 8th, 2 years of report cards or school assessments and 2 years of standardized tests. If your child has an IEP or SAP, a copy should be attached.
- Proof of adequate immunization and physical examination as required by the Code of Virginia. Students must have completed the Virginia School Entrance Health Form.
- Proof of custody documents, if applicable

- Decision letters will be emailed.
- A non-refundable deposit of $500 (per family) is due within 5 business days and will be applied to tuition as a credit.

- Registration fee: non-refundable $300 registration fee per family
- Tuition deposit: a non-refundable $500 deposit which will be applied to the next year’s tuition on 15 January

Tuition Assistance
The Diocese of Arlington and the STM School and Parish are committed to making a Catholic education attainable for all who seek it. Families are encouraged to apply for tuition aid, if needed. Pursuant to Diocesan guidelines, STM will again use FACTS Grant & Aid for financial aid assessments. Only families who complete the Tuition Assistance application via FACTS will be considered. Tuition Assistance is made possible through the contributions from Diocese of Arlington parishioners and the Rooted in Faith-Forward in Hope.
FACTS Financial Aid Application DUE DATE (Only one application is needed per family.)
All Diocesan Elementary/Middle School Students: March 13. Previous year's tax forms are required.
DIOCESAN TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Diocesan Tuition Assistance Program (DTAP) provides tuition assistance to families in Diocese of Arlington Catholic schools through funding from Diocesan parishes as well as the Rooted in Faith ~ Forward in Hope Capital Campaign Endowment. It is open to all families who might not otherwise be able to pay the full cost of tuition.
ELIGIBILITY
- Students attending or accepted by a Diocese of Arlington Catholic school (K-12).
- Preschool students are not eligible.
- Not applicable to students of private independent Catholic schools associated with the Diocese and/or international students.
- Students who are Catholic and members of a parish in the Diocese of Arlington or military base parish.
- Families who reside within the boundaries of the Diocese of Arlington and are registered and active members of a diocesan parish or a military base parish.

Submit financial aid assessment application and all supporting tax documentation by due date.

AWARDS
Awards are made for one academic year and are based on demonstrated financial need. Individual schools determine the amount and will contact families when award decisions have been made.
DIOCESE OF ARLINGTON SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
Through Virginia’s Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits program and as a result of tax credit donations, the Diocese of Arlington Scholarship Foundation is able to provide tuition scholarships to eligible students of lower-income families. Applicants must meet the published criteria.
ELIGIBILITY
- Family must complete a financial aid assessment application to verify income level.
- Household income (as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau) cannot exceed 300% of the federal poverty guidelines. For students with disabilities, the household income must be less than 400% of the federal poverty guidelines; student must have a verified IEP. - Student must be new to the Diocese of Arlington school system and a resident of Virginia.
- Student must be transferring from public school, from out of state, or enroll in kindergarten or first grade.
- Or, student must have received this scholarship in a prior year.

Through a generous donor, this extra source of assistance is available for single parent households and families with multiple children in Diocesan schools.
ELIGIBILITY
- Single Parent household or
- Family with multiple children grades K-12 in diocesan schools
- Preschool students are not eligible
- Students of private independent Catholic schools associated with the Diocese are not eligible
- Students of schools outside the Diocese of Arlington are not eligible
- Family must show greater than $0 FACTS Calculated Need
