Application Process

Application Date: October 1, 2026

Automatic re-enrollment for current families begins.
Returning families with siblings new to STM may also apply.
New families can also apply (please note those applications will begin to be processed early November 2026 after existing family re-enrollment).

Required Application Documents:

Application
Original Birth Certificate or Passport.
Baptismal Certificate, if applicable.
Proof of Registration in a Catholic Parish (see side menu for PDF Verification Form). This is necessary if applying for Catholic tuition rate.
For students in Grades 1st - 8th, 2 years of report cards or school assessments and 2 years of standardized tests. If your child has an IEP or SAP, a copy should be attached.
Proof of adequate immunization and physical examination as required by the Code of Virginia.
- Students must have completed the Virginia School Entrance Health Form. This documentation will be uploaded via our Magnus System (see Nurse & Clinic Information page). Please do not include these documents in your application.
Proof of custody documents, if applicable.

All supporting documents (except medical) should be uploaded directly in PowerSchool. If not possible, they may be sent to the Director of Admissions, Lena Gude at [email protected]

New Families Application Process:

Submit one application per student: 2026-2027 Application via PowerSchool and ensure that you have all of the required application documents as noted above.
Pay one $300 non-refundable Family Application Fee (one per family): 2026-2027 New Family Application Fee via FACTS. Applications will be processed after fee is paid starting in early November.
Director of Admission will schedule in-person assessments for new students applying to STM.

The Admissions Committee meets every 2 weeks to review new candidate files and results. Within two weeks following completion of the PreK - 8th assessment or PreK questionnaires and all required documents:

Decision letters will be emailed.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 (per family) is due within 5 business days of receiving the decision letter and will be applied to tuition as a credit.
Once your child(ren) has been accepted, the school nurse will contact you with instructions for submitting the required health documentation through the Magnus Health Portal (see the Nurse & Clinic Information page). As required by the Code of Virginia, all students must submit a completed Virginia School Entrance Health Form, proof of required immunizations, and complete the health questionnaire in the portal. Please do not include these documents with your application.

New Sibling Enrollment Process:

Current families with siblings new to STM may begin applying in October and all fees will be charged via FACTS.

Submit one application per student (Must use Google Chrome or Safari web browsers):

Pay the one-time non-refundable $300 Family Registration Fee (one per family) which is done via FACTS.
Provide all application requirements/supporting documents which should be uploaded in PowerSchool (see list provided at the beginning of this page)

Once all application documents have been received:

Pre-K applicants - will receive a notification letter, developmental questionnaire and teacher/childcare provider comment form.
K-8 applicants - will be scheduled for placement screening appointments.

Decision letters will be emailed within 2 weeks following completion of the PreK - 8th assessment or PreK questionnaires and all required documents have been sent and reviewed.

Last Steps:

Current Families - Automatic Re-enrollment Process:

All currently enrolled STM students will be automatically re-enrolled on 1 October, 2026. Families will receive two charges via FACTS on 5 January, 2027:

Registration fee: non-refundable $300 registration fee per family
Tuition deposit: a non-refundable $500 deposit which will be applied to the following year’s tuition on 15 January, 2027

Families may opt out of the automatic enrollment by sending an email to Lena Gude at [email protected] by 30 October, 2026.

If your family has not registered, and paid the non-refundable registration fee and tuition deposit, your child(ren)’s space will be made available to new families.
