Dear Parents,
SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY. Yup, I’ll say it again. Safety is why every student, including middle schoolers, must remain in the car during morning drop off until a patrol opens their door. Last week we had not one, but three different instances of cars moving while the middle school student had the door opened. One student actually hopped along, straddling the car and the black top as the car was moving; unable to get back in, but unable to clear the car. Student assumed the parent had stopped, and the parent was being directed by our staff to move up. SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY: Patrols open doors for all students.
I look forward to seeing you this evening at Back to School Night. We will gather at 6:30pm at the Cathedral, for prayer, then head to the school. During this evening, I hope that you will take a moment to thank your child’s teacher. Many schools are still short of teaching staff, some having to compromise on new hires, combine classes, mix grades or turn children away. We not only don’t have these problems, but our teaching cadre is staffed with quality teachers with amazing credentials, who want to lead at our parochial school.
Chat soon,
Cath
