Dear Parents,
Seventh grade will participate in an exciting STEM Field trip to Andrews Air Force Base on Friday. Resource and Title 1 are up and running. Prayer Partners have been decided. Middle School Houses are sorted, inaugural MAPS testing transitioned smoothly and Parent Wine and Cheese is tomorrow…yup, we are back in the swing of things!
Just one quick update and one request….
Update: We haven’t forgotten or squandered your donations for our Science Lab makeover. The original plan to convert the kitchen to a lab had to be nixed when we found out about the Cathedral’s renovation. The church will return to its origin in Burke Hall and will cause many community activities to be held in our cafeteria. This includes, but isn’t limited to KOC Pancake Breakfasts, Women’s Group Spaghetti Dinners, and other groups who need access to a kitchen. The good news is that we have safeguarded the monies for that project and are committed to building a lab.
Request: Please watch your speed as you travel along North Thomas Street and Cathedral Lane so that student walkers and bikers can traverse safely.
Finally, be sure to ask for your student’s Wednesday folder today. We are working hard to streamline communications as recommended in our Strategic Plan. The idea is that all important parent information will arrive on one day, making it easier for you to keep track and remain engaged.
