Dear Parents,
What a beautiful first day! The weather was perfect, the car drop off line went smoothly, thanks to our new teachers, Mr. Brown, and Mr. Dasenbrook, and all the help of our wonderful aides, Ms. Boyer, Ms. Maynard, Ms. Kaba, Mrs. McIntosh, Mrs. Kloesel, and Mrs. Lizarazo. A big thanks to our new Admin Office team of Mrs. Landry and Ms. Hitchcock who ensured that our Boo Hoo Breakfast had delicious pastries and hot coffee. The chatter let me know that we are all happy to be back at STM. Middle School meetings,prayer services, new lunch routines, quiet hallways and everyone was patient in the afternoon pick up line: It just doesn’t get any better.
A shout out to Mrs. Nolte and her wonderful “Teacher Appreciation Team.” They wined and dined our staff during the week of professional development. We are truly blessed to have the most generous PTO East of the Mississippi.
Tomorrow we are ready to welcome our PreK and Kindergarten students. Middle School is poised and ready to ensure that all of our “little people” have a great day. Sixth grade Safeties will help with car doors, Eighth grade leaders will escort our new PreK students, hand in hand, to their new room, and Seventh graders will guide the way through to the Kinder Hall. What great team work!
And speaking of team, we are looking forward to having Prayer Partners again for Mass. Mass, most every Friday at 10:00am, is a great opportunity to join your child for an hour of reflection. Both you and their Prayer Partner can model what great faith looks like. But please remember that we are instituting new security procedures. Doors will lock once students are in place, so please be mindful of the time. After we begin, no one will be admitted.
