Dear Parents,
The building is being polished up, admin is organizing, and teachers are enjoying professional development sessions that range from how to administer the new assessment system to a day of Spiritual Reflection. We are preparing for a terrific year.
A quick reminder that Friday, 19 August is Fabulous Friday. Teachers and Staff will be in Burke Hall to greet students from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. There will even be ice cream available in the school parking lot area and class lists will be posted. Please be aware that if you have not filled out your PowerSchool, Magnus and School forms, your child’s class assignment will not be available. Be sure all your information is up to date.
On Monday, the entire staff will be participating in Gallup Certified Strengths Coaching. Therefore, the front office will be closed from 9:30 am to 2:00pm. Please leave a message on our office voicemail if you need assistance between those times.
In light of recent world events, I’d like to reiterate my commitment to our student’s safety. I have every confidence in our teacher’s preparedness and in our school building’s fortification. A new security policy will take effect this year: The Cathedral will be locked during school Mass. If you plan to attend Mass with your child, please be on time as no one will be admitted after the 10:00am weekly school Mass has begun.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our need to be patient during our first week of drop off/pick up. Practicing seven days makes a habit, please give us some time to get the process downpat. We are working hard to fine tune the machine.
It’s going to be a great school year!
