Practices:
Wednesday and Friday 5:30-6:30pm *** NEW LOCATION!! *** Bon Air Park (North side of Wilson by the Rose Garden. This is across the street from our old meet up spot at the Bluemont Tennis Courts. Put “Bon Air Park Tennis Courts” in Google maps if unfamiliar
Sunday 3:30-5:00pm Wakefield HS track
We do not require attendance at all practices, but the more you make the better you'll run in the meet. Attendance is especially important for working on relay exchanges and field events.
Participation: Grades 3-8 can participate and race. 2nd graders may participate but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
Uniforms: All kids must race in our team singlet. This is the same one from previous years, so if your child still has one from fall XC or last year, that is fine. If you need a new size, please reach out to Erin Wasiak ASAP. Singlets will be available at practices this week to try on, but sizes range from YXS-YXL and AXS-AXL. Cost will be $20 each, but are good for XC in the fall or next spring.
NOTE – Championship Meet: There is only one CYO track meet at the end of the season, so we ask that if you sign up to run this season, you please commit to participating in the track meet. The meet will be held at Bishop O’Connell HS on Saturday, May 16, 2026 with a back up date of Sunday, May 17 in case of inclement weather. (FYI: We practice and race in the rain, but not if there is lightning. Dress accordingly and keep a towel in the car.)
Race Details (these are estimated as of now and may shift based on participation numbers)
Grades 6-8 (girls and boys) compete in the morning from 7:30 AM to 12 PM.
Grades 3-5 compete in the afternoon: 12 PM to 7 PM.
