A Word of Thanksgiving from Mrs. S. James

Bishop Burbidge, Father Posey, Father Barnes, Parishioners of The Cathedral of Saint Thomas More, Faculty and Students of Saint Thomas More School:

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the dignified memorial service you held for Rawn James, Jr. on March 12, 2025. The compassion and care with which you conducted the service brought immense comfort to our family and friends during this difficult time.

The atmosphere of the Cathedral provided a beautiful setting to honor Rawn Mike’s life and legacy. Father Barnes’ thoughtful words and reflections truly captured the essence of Rawn Mike, and  I know that everyone in attendance felt the depth of our loss as well as the love surrounding us.

Thanks also to Father Vincent and the music team for their moving performances; the hymns and pieces chosen were incredibly meaningful and created a soothing environment that resonated with us all.

We are grateful for the support and kindness shown by the entire Saint Thomas More team, especially the eighth-grade students and faculty, whose presence strengthened and comforted us. Your dedication to honoring Rawn Mike’s memory with such respect and tenderness, both before, during, and after, is deeply appreciated.

Once again, thank you for everything you've done to help us navigate this challenging time. We will always cherish the lovely memories created by our Saint Thomas More family.

With warm thoughts of thanksgiving,

Maureen, August, and Charleston James
