The St. Thomas More Band Program has ended the 2024 school year with final concerts for the school and parents by the advanced and 1st year students.
A few weeks before, our advanced band performed at the Music in the Parks Festival at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, additionally the 1st year students were in attendance. The adjudication by judges resulted in the band being awarded 1st place in their category with Superior ratings. Our judges were a music professor from V.C.U. in Richmond and composer Mike Oare. Also, a number of students in the band performed demonstration solos on their instrument in the final concerts and the Zoom Solo Concert in December.
The St. Thomas More Band program has planned for next year with a demonstration of band instruments to 4th and 5th grade students and a registration night for everyone on Monday, September 16th at 6:45 P.M. in the gym area.
