Rising 7th Grade Vaccines
A reminder message went to parents of this years' sixth graders reminding you that your student will be required to have two vaccines prior to the start of the 2023-2024 school year. These vaccines are the Tdap booster and the first of their meningitis vaccines. Your health care provider will also likely discuss with you the option of having your son or daughter vaccinated against human papillomavirus (HPV), a known cause of several cancers. The HPV vaccine is recommended but not required. Please reach out to the clinic with any questions at [email protected].

Boots and Braces and Crutches, Oh My!
Please remember that students coming to school with braces, casts, boots, crutches, etc. must present the school with a health care provider's note outlining the necessity of such device, the approximate duration that the device will be in place, and any activity limitations at school.

Pollen
This aggressive allergy season seems to refuse to abate. In addition to the stomach bug Mrs. Davis mentioned above (wash your hands!), be on the lookout for lingering allergy symptoms. If your child is on a daily allergy med, please make sure they are taking it as prescribed. The school day is long when your eyes and throat itch and burn.
