Cough, Cough, Cough: the STM Soundtrack
We made it through the sleepy Super Bowl Monday, but boy those winter colds are still hanging on! Please remind your kiddos that staying hydrated, but especially getting good rest at night, will expedite getting better. If more than a week has gone by with your kiddo still coughing, experiencing fevers, or just generally being unwell, it may be time to check in with the pediatrician to see if there is more to be done to help them be successful during the school day.
Form Season is Starting
Pediatrician's offices are starting to roll out forms procedures for the new year. Be mindful that forms can have long turn around times, so plan now for camp physicals and form updates for the 2023-2024 school year. Rising kindergarteners, entering preschool students, and any student who is attending STM for the first time will need to submit a copy of their Commonwealth School Health Form, as completed by a health care provider. Students with allergy or asthma plans, scheduled medications they will take at school, or students with seizure or diabetes management plans will also have forms to be completed by their healthcare providers.
