Mindfulness is a state of nonjudgmental awareness of what’s happening in the present moment, including the awareness of one’s own thoughts, feelings, and senses. Over the past decade, mindfulness has worked its way into the world of mental health because of its many benefits to cognition and mental well-being.
 
Benefits of Mindfulness for Students
By practicing mindfulness techniques, students’ negative effects of stress, anxiety, and depression can reduce. Mindfulness can increase students’ abilities to stay engaged, stay on track academically and avoid behavior problems.
 
Mindfulness Activities for Families
Mindfulness is an important skill for families. Parents can help their child achieve mindfulness by molding mindfulness themselves, or by teaching their child to focus on the present moment.
