Lucia Loveland, STM CYO Commissioner Retiring

Upon the graduation of our youngest child from STM, I will be retiring as CYO Commissioner at the end of this school year. It has been a great four years in this role and I have very much enjoyed the privilege of leading our sports programs. I cannot thank the coaches of all of these teams enough for their support and their commitment to teaching our student athletes not only skills on the court/field/track but more importantly, a love of these sports and how to play them in a true Christian manner. I am also beyond grateful for the unwavering support of Principal Cathy Davis and Nurse Chandra Burnside, who have ensured our children were given the opportunity to participate in CYO in these unprecedented times.

I am confidently leaving the program in great hands as I pass the torch on to Alex O'Bannon. Alex and his wife, Jessica, have a 3rd grade son and a 4th grade daughter. The family moved to Virginia in 2012 from California and has been at STM since the Fall of 2020. Their kids, Riley (4th) and Braden (3rd) have been involved in numerous sports including baseball, soccer, rugby, football, and several CYO sports over the past year. Alex is excited to provide support and leadership for the parish and school reps, coaches, and children in developing skills, a competitive spirit, and continuing to bring joy to this wonderful community.
