Teacher Spotlight

My name is Ms. Nora Cox. I currently live in Arlington and grew up in Vienna, VA. I attended Our Lady of Good Counsel and Saint Paul VI Catholic High School. For college, I attended Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Elementary Education.

I've spent many summers teaching 6-12-year-olds at a STEM Enrichment Camp in Reston, VA, babysitting, and tutoring.

This is my fifth year teaching third grade at S.T.M. Teaching is my number one passion in life and helping all of my students reach their full potential is my top priority. It is very important to me that all of my students feel successful, safe, and loved every single day! It brings me so much joy seeing the students' faces light up during an engaging lesson.

In my spare time, I enjoy working out, spending time with my family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and stepping outside of my comfort zone...I went sky diving this summer!! Cows are my favorite animals so naturally, one of my favorite things to do is feed baby cows at a dairy farm in MD.

In May 2022, my fiancé, Jake, and I will be getting married.
