Giving Tree to Benefit Migrant and Refugee Services of Catholic Charities, Hosted by Student Council

All members of the Student Council create tags that hang on the tree with items on them such as blankets, dishes, dish towels, and more (see detailed list below). Students at our school may take a tag off the tree in order to participate. Please send a note or email with your written permission. When permission is given, the teacher will send your child to the tree. Your child can take one tag and from the tree and bring the item on the tag on or before Wednesday, December 15. The gift must be unwrapped with the tag attached. This makes it easier to give to the center.

The tree will also be placed outside during the Country Christmas event.

Please do not wrap items!

  • New kitchen and tableware items: knife sets, cookware sets, dish sets, utensil sets, flatware sets, non-electric can openers, dishtowel sets
  • New blankets (especially twin), sheet sets, and pillows
  • Household items: Shower curtains with rings; 13-gallon trash cans
  • Gifts cards from Walmart and Target (most helpful as they have personal and household items as well as groceries). VISA gift cards are also very helpful as they can be used anywhere for any need!
  • PC’s, laptops, or tablets (new or gently used PCs -Windows 7 and up; new Chromebooks)
