Dear Interested St. Thomas More "Band" Parents (and students),
Attached is the band registration form called the "Lesson and Tuition" form for the Garwood Whaley Music Program - 2021. Print and send into the school office. Do not mail this to the G.W. Program office, thank you.
Choose a payment method, quarterly, half-year, or yearly, and enclose a check for that amount made to Garwood Whaley Music Program. May I suggest half-year as a trial and a payment period. Also, you may need an instrument to rent, and I offer Music and Arts Stores, who have served the band program throughout the diocese for over 40 years. Renting an instrument online with Music and Arts and/or purchasing the correct lesson book
1. Be sure to select St. Thomas More as your school, and use the zip code for our school: 22203
2. Select your choice of instrument, you are renting the instrument for the first 2 months. and then monthly thereafter.
3. Accessories: Purchase the lesson book, "Essential Elements Book 1" (for your instrument)
4. Please purchase a bell cover for your instrument and student mask, correct size for your student, for playing inside the building.
5. You do not need to purchase the accessories kit, but a music stand is very handy.
6. Extra reeds: Vandoren #2 for clarinet and alto sax (usually sold by the box)
Our first day for lessons is Thursday, September 16th, 8:30 - 3:00 P.M. for 4th - 8th Grade. Be sure to drop off the Lesson and Tuition Agreement - 2021 at the school office on or before Thursday, September 9th. Thank you.
