Nurse Notes

Magnus Daily Health Attestation
Please remember your Magnus Daily Health Attestation is required every morning and must be complete in order for your child to be left at school. If you are having trouble with the Magnus app, please reach out to the clinic.

Acceptable Masks Policy
We are still seeing some children appear at school with non-uniform masks. Please remember for the 2021/22 school year the only acceptable masks are the STM gaiter OR disposable surgical masks, to be replaced daily. Please remember to pack extra masks for your child in their backpack. The blue STM lanyards are a part of the official STM uniform this year. Please make sure your child is wearing their STM lanyard each morning.

What do I do if my child is out sick?
Please communicate with the front office, the school clinic, and your homeroom teacher. A health care provider's note is required for all students who are out of the building for an illness-related reason. This can be from your regular provider or an urgent care/minute clinic, and can be from an in person or a virtual visit. Mrs. Burnside is particularly a fan of PM Pediatrics, an all-children's urgent care with several local locations, and instant virtual visits via their smartphone app. Students must be free from fever, vomit, and diarrhea for at least 24 hours before returning to school.

Parking Lot Safety
STM has a carefully designed arrival and dismissal procedure designed to maximize safety and efficiency. Please do not park your car in the Cathedral lot and attempt to side step the car rider procedure either at arrival or dismissal. This creates a significant safety hazard by having pedestrians and moving cars too close to another, and creates tremendous chaos as different families attempt to follow/create their own rules. As a gentle reminder, those who walk/bike to their homes in the neighborhood are dismissed from school AFTER the cars from second car rider pick up have left.
