COVID-19 Procedures and Processes

Handbook Appendix C

Introduction

Our plans to reopen in the 2020-2021 school year were shaped by discussions with local health and education experts, feedback from our parent and staff community, and informed by the June 25, 2020 position of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Adjustments to these plans were incorporated in July of 2021, and are informed by guidance published by the Virginia Department of Health on July 21, 2021.

Our Covid mitigation procedures are in compliance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (the “CDC”), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Virginia state and local authorities, and orders and rules regarding best practices for workplace safety.

Attached are the procedures that all members of the STM community will need to comply with and follow as the school year begins. Due to the fluidity of this situation, policies and procedures may update from time to time. Specifically, it is our hope to return to a more “typical” year as the school year progresses. All parents, students, faculty, administrative staff, clergy, and any visitors to the STM grounds are asked to comply with these policies.
