Dear Parents,
Can you believe it? We have just received information about one more family that has tested positive for Covid. Although this case was not transmitted within the school, it will require the closure of two more classrooms making STM unable to sustain our teaching staff. Therefore, STM will return to temporary distance learning effective tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
Because of this late notice, tomorrow will be Day 1 of the most recent Homestead studies provided by each classroom teacher, with the exception of 5-2, who will follow instructions provided earlier today by Mrs. Busekrus. Temporary virtual learning will begin on Wednesday, January 20. Please check your teacher’s Edlio page for more details. You may also receive an email from your teacher providing more information and details on distance learning for your child’s class, so please be alert.
The return date for students as directed by Arlington County Health Department protocols is as follows:
• All school except K-21, 1-18, and 1-20 return on Monday, January 25, 2021
• K-21 and 1-20 return on Tuesday, January 26, 2021
• 1-18 returns on February 1, 2021
Also, for the middle school students, please plan on the National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony to be held as planned tomorrow at 7pm for all those invited to this ceremony.
