Office Hours

My office hours each school day will be from 8:30-9am and 3:00-3:30pm for anyone who has any questions about my assignments, technology and Google Classroom in general, or anything else that is on your mind. :)

Introduction to Google Meet--Wednesday, 4/1 at 11:00am in Google Classroom

Introduction to Google Meet--Wednesday, 4/1 at 11:00am

Please meet me by clicking the link below. You may also open your Google Meet app and the meeting should be listed for you beginning Wednesday morning for 11:00am.

I have also included the link for your convenience.

When you meet me, your first job is to mute your microphone. We will go over all the things you need to know about Google Meet so that you can start interacting with your friends and teachers. :)

Once the Meet is over, you can push MARK AS DONE to clear it off your To-Do List. It may say you turned it in late, but there is no penalty for that--I want to make sure everyone gets the right time!

Due:

Get your iPads ready for GOOGLE MEET Tomorrow! in Google Classroom

Get your iPads ready for GOOGLE MEET Tomorrow!

Would you please ask your parents to help you do the following to make sure you can join me tomorrow for a Meet?

1. Check the time on your iPad. If it is correct, GREAT! Skip to step 3.

2. If the time is wrong, open Settings. Under General, push Date and Time. Then push Time Zone and set it to New York. This will fix the time for you.

3. Open your Google Meet app. If you do not have a Meet app on your iPad, use the IT support form below to let me know. Include the NAME of your iPad, which can be found in Settings-->About-->Name so that I can push that out to you today.

4. Accept terms in the Meet App. Give access to the microphone and camera.

That's it! When you finish, push MARK AS DONE to clear this off your To-Do List.

If you have any issues, please use the IT Support ticket below to report them. Mr. Chris and I will make this our priority today to ensure you are set up for tomorrow. A separate assignment will be sent to you momentarily with a time and instructions on how to join a Meet on an iPad.

Stations of the Cross in Scratch, Jr.--*Stations 1-5* in Google Classroom

Stations of the Cross in Scratch, Jr.--*Stations 1-5*

Your challenge is to create a digital Stations of the Cross in Scratch, Jr.

The whole thing is not due until right before Easter Break, so no stress! The first one is the hardest! After that, you will go super fast. :) Just the first 5 are due by March 31.

I have added Loyola Press' Stations for Children as a reference for you. See it below.

The requirements:
*Each Station must be a different page within the project. Look for the + on the right side to add a new page.
*Realistic setting (background)
*Realistic characters (you may have to draw Jesus instead of using one of the pre-made characters)
*Your characters must move in each page corresponding to the actions. The one page that likely wouldn't have movement would be the one where Jesus dies.
*There must be a conversation on each page. Remember, you may have to use the Wait tool so that the conversation makes sense!

Tips and tricks: start every character with the green flag. Use the wait tool to make things happen at the right time. :)

Questions? Type them into the Class Comments under this assignment so that everyone can benefit from the answers.

Please share what you have completed weekly--this will help us all stay on task.
This particular assignment will be for Stations 1-5.

Share them by email to [email protected] following the instructions below. A weekly grade will be assigned.
