Welcome To Mrs. McIntosh's 2nd Grade!

I was born into a Navy Military family in California. My family traveled over the years and eventually made our way to the East Coast. All the while, I attended Catholic Schools. I graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and went on to achieve both my Undergraduate and  Master’s degrees in Business from Marymount University.  It is there that I met Chris, my husband of 22 years. I got my B.B.A., M.B.A. and my M.R.S. all at MU!

My early career involved work in non-profit fundraising, marketing, advertising and event promotions. In 2003, our daughter Katelyn was born and I stayed home to raise her. She was followed two years later by our son, Jimmy (named after my brother Jimmy Lang who died in Desert Storm in 1991). Both kids graduated from Bishop O’Connell High School and are now in college.

I am grateful and blessed to be part of the STM community. I first joined the STM family in 2020 as a teacher’s aide for the wonderful Pre-K! This year I look forward to my first year as a second grade teacher. My family & I are strong advocates and supporters of the moral education that comes from the Catholic schools system. I have done much volunteer work at the Catholic schools my children have attended: as room mother, organizer for Catholic Schools Week, Chairperson for the Christmas Attic Fundraiser, and Bishop O’Connell’s Girls & Boys Varsity Tennis Team Representative.

In addition to a devotion to our Blessed Mother and saying a daily rosary, I keep two thoughts in mind to achieve a great day:

All things are possible with God, and

Always take the high road, there’s less traffic!
