CALLING ALL FUTURE DETECTIVES!
“Inspector” Landry needs the assistance of six able crime-solvers to solve the mystery of the missing member of the St. Thomas More Pre-K22 class. Help us search the St. Thomas More campus to gather clues and then sort them out while we eat dinner together at the scene of the crime (at school). After we analyze the evidence, we will try to solve the mystery with your help.
So if you have ever wanted to be Nate the Great or some other famous crime solver, we need YOU! Come dressed in your best detective outfit, ready for two hours of suspense, fun, and a few surprises!

IS YOUR CHILD A BUDDING ENTEMOLOGIST?
For one lucky family, the opportunity of a lifetime awaits. Here is your chance to get an up-close look at the honeybee hives in Mrs. Fry’s yard. Get a personal tour of the sights, sounds and smells of our docile Italian honeybees. We might even arrange your visit for a harvest day and your family can have the extra hands-on experience of helping us extract honey from the comb. All safety gear and even some honey-baked treats will be provided. Also included with the full bee experience is this Beekeeper’s Wife basket containing a sampling of the Fry’s own Victory Honey lip balm and honey products, as well as candles, soap, bee & hive cookie cutters, and more. This offer is for the winner’s immediate family only (no friends) and requires parent participation.

ANGELINA BALERINA MEETS KINDERGARTEN
"Spend an hour after school twirling and leaping with Angelina Ballerina! Miss Gauta and Miss Kenyon are hosting a dance class for one lucky winner and five enthusiastic friends (or families can combine resources and purchase as a group). Winning children will listen to a story, learn a dance routine, and perform for parents. A snack will be provided for each child. Winners should contact the teachers to set up a date. Polish your dance shoes and see you on the dance floor!"

THE BEST BABYSITTER IN TOWN
Mrs. Stocker is pleased to offer once again this year her ever-popular parents’ night out on the town! She would be delighted to babysit for one family (up to 7 children) during the day or for an evening. A suggested limit of 4 hours applies. PICNIC AND DINOSAURS
Available for your child’s fun and enrichment is this very special outing to see some of the great treasures of Washington, D.C. Join Mrs. Rapoza for a picnic lunch on the National Mall followed by a personal tour of the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Your student will love this chance to invite three friends and spend some time in one of the world’s greatest museums. Transportation must be provided by parents.

LEGO PARTY
Mrs. Duranne will be hosting an after-school ice cream social and Lego party for one lucky winner, will be allowed to invite three friends. Each party-goer will get to make their own sundae and create some amazing Lego creations. Each child will go home with a small party favor when the party ends at 5pm. Date will be determined by mutual agreement of the winner and the teacher.

TEACHER FOR THE DAY
This rare opportunity is every student’s dream- to be IN CHARGE! One lucky winner will find themselves wielding the power of the title “TEACHER” for the day in Ms. Feary’s room. AMERICAN GIRL OUTING
Does your daughter have a special American Girl doll? One special girl will be able to invite three friends, along with their American Girl dolls, and join Mrs. Coleman and Miss Eisele at the American Girl Store in the Tyson Corners Mall. "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME!"
Four lucky students are invited to join the 4th grade teachers, Ms. Magruder and Mrs. Winstanley, for a day of fun at the Nationals Ballpark to watch a Nationals Ballgame. The winner and three guests will enjoy all the sights and sounds of the game with their special chaperones. Transportation must be provided by parents.

SCAVENGER HUNT AND MOVIE IN TYSON’S CORNER
Four students will visit Tyson’s Corner with Miss Johnson. They will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon going on a scavenger hunt and concluding with watching a movie. Parents must provide transportation.

SCIENCE PICNIC
Mrs. Loughlin is offering to host an in-school picnic lunch for four. The traditional menu will include subs, chips, soda and Ice Cream for dessert during the winning student’s lunch time on a mutually agreed upon school day. Each student will receive a special science mug as a souvenir. This event is intended for students in 4th through 8th grades.

CROCHET CLASS
The illustrious and crafty Mrs. Meehan will be joined by the equally talented Mrs. Pierce to teach four lucky students to crochet. Materials to crochet up to 4 scarves will be provided for the winning student and their three guests. The students need to be in 5th grade and up. A picture will be presented ahead of time for the lucky crochet students to choose their favorite color or colors of yarn. We will meet 2 times after school; dates to be determined by mutual agreement of all parties.

BOWLING PARTY WITH EVERONE’S FAVORITE SPECIAL TEACHERS
Specialist Bowling! Up for bid is a unique outing at the Fort Myer Bowling Alley. Six lucky students will meet the STM Specialists: Mrs. O’Rourke, Mrs. Bauer, Mrs. Pore, Mrs. Grimm, Mrs. Carr, and Mrs. Bonilla at the bowling alley on a mutually agreed upon date. The fun and games will commence immediately after school and all students must be picked up from the bowling alley at 5:00pm. Light snacks will be provided. This event is open to Kindergarten through 8th grade students only. Prepare your bids for the birthday party of a lifetime, or pool your resources with friends to secure memories that will last forever.

SEA TURTLE BASKET
You’ve heard about the great STM sea turtle project haven’t you? Well you will find something for everyone in your family in this awesome turtle basket made for you by Mrs. O’Rourke and former STM teacher Mrs. Morrison (our special agent in North Carolina)! From wine glasses, to statues, to caps, books and puzzles; this is a basket full of turtle power. Smell the sea breeze and bring home great memories of the beach and our special adopted STM sea turtle “Rascal”!

ADVENTURES IN ANIMATION
What student wouldn’t love the chance to have their own Animation Workshop with friends! Each participant will learn how to create a flip book, talking head, animated poetry, musical presentation, or other cool product under the expert guidance of our own technology whiz- Mrs. Pore! The suggested age for this event is 9-100 Years Old. There is a maximum of four participants and the event will last two hours after school, on a mutually agreed-upon date.

LUNCH IN A LIMOSINE
Tour the town and travel through time to some of history’s greatest places. Let the Principal and Assistant Principal treat you to lunch in a limousine and a driving tour through DC. Follow the footsteps of many famous people. Travel down Pennsylvania Avenue like the President. Gaze upon the Lincoln Memorial where Martin Luther King, Jr. once stood and Marian Anderson once sang. Ogle at one of the world’s tallest obelisks, the Washington Monument. Capture in a picture the Capitol steps where the President takes the Oath of Office. Join Mrs. McCormack and Ms. Scheessele for several hours of history making fun! Includes: limo ride, lunch, t-shirts, disposable cameras, and other perks for four students.

PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY
What a wonderful opportunity for the school leadership to listen to the student body needs through the voice of a young principal for a day—the winning student will run (with assistance and support) the morning announcements, make visits to the classrooms, make one rule for the day (within reason), and eat lunch with Mrs. McCormack.
