Lauren Grimm has joined the Saint Thomas More faculty this year as our new art teacher.  Lauren has lived in Vienna, Virginia with her husband and three children for 14 years.  She has four years experience teaching art in the classroom setting in Fairfax County, Florida, and Colorado, and many additional years of teaching at art centers, and art camps.  She has a B.S in Art Education, K-12, from the University of Vermont, and an M.F.A. in Painting from Colorado State University.  She has been a professional artist for 20 years, and has shown her work in local galleries and art centers.  She currently works in her studio at home, painting still-lifes and landscapes in oils and pastels. 

Lauren is truly grateful for the opportunity to transfer her love of art to children.    She teaches the elements and principles of design along with incorporating art history, and art technique.  These tools provide each student with the ability to build their self-confidence while learning to express themselves and think creatively.
