Tuition and Fees

Tuition Information 

For the 2017/2018 school year, families will continue to have three payment options for paying tuition. Families can pay in full by June 1, 2017 (and receive a discount for doing so) or can opt to pay on a monthly or bimonthly basis. Monthly and bimonthly payments begin in June 2017 and run through April 2018. Please review the 2017/2018 tuition schedule for the discount that would be applied to your rate and number of children. 

St. Thomas More Cathedral School requires all families to use FACTS, an automated payment system, to process tuition payments. By using FACTS, you preauthorize your bank or credit card company to automatically transfer tuition funds to STM on the installment payment dates set up by the school. STM also uses FACTS to bill families for all incidental charges incurred during the school year. These include charges for books and materials, milk, hot lunch, extended day usage, field trips, PTO dues, etc. To facilitate timely payment of all incidental expenses, we encourage you to consider enrolling in auto-pay for your incidental expenses account.

Returning Families

All families who are currently signed up to make their payments through FACTS will be automatically re-enrolled in the program in April for the upcoming school year. Please ensure that your personal and financial account information are kept current. If you need to make changes to your personal or financial account information, you may do so directly by logging into your account at the link provided on this page. 

New Families

If you are a new family joining us for the upcoming academic year, you also need to establish an account with FACTS. Please visit the FACTS Login page accessible via the button above and click on "Start Here." Follow the prompts to set up a new user account. If you have any questions or require assistance in setting up your new account, please call the school office and ask for Bookkeeping.

Tuition Assistance

The Diocese of Arlington and the STM School and Parish Community are committed to making a Catholic education attainable for all who seek it. All families are encouraged to apply for tuition aid if assistance is needed. Pursuant to diocesan guidelines issued this year, STM will again use FACTS Grant & Aid for financial aid assessments.

As of November 1, STM is currently in the process of accepting applications for tuition assistance for the upcoming school year from Diocesan families. To begin your FACTS Grant & Aid tuition assistance application, please visit the FACTS Grant & Aid website. The website will guide you through setting up your account and contains a list of helpful frequently asked questions and answers. Follow the prompts to complete your application and please be sure to provide the required supporting financial documentation. Incomplete applications and applications submitted without the required documentation will not be considered. 

FACTS charges families a small processing fee for tuition assistance applications. We understand that this may be a challenge for some families and do not want the fee to be an impediment to applying. If the application fee presents a challenge for your family, please contact Bookkeeping for assistance.  

Only families who submit complete applications in FACTS will be considered for assistance. Families applying for aid who currently (or next year will) have both an STM student and a high school sibling must follow the high school’s aid instructions and deadlines (which are earlier) for applying. The high school due date is January 23, 2017. All other school families applying for aid must complete an application by the STM deadline of Friday, March 17, 2017, to be considered.
